EO Capital Roadmap Roadshow

Private roundtable: Deep dive into private credit opportunities in employee ownership

Co-hosted by Predistribution Initiative on March 17, 2026 in New York City

On March 17, 2026, Ownership Capital Lab and the Predistribution Initiative convened a small, invitation-only roundtable at APG in New York City as part of the EO Capital Roadmap Roadshow. The two-hour session brought together approximately 12-15 institutional asset owners and allocators for a deep dive on private credit opportunities in employee ownership (EO).

The conversation was grounded in two converging dynamics shaping long-term market resilience: the risk of historic wealth inequality, and the opportunity of the Silver Tsunami, the succession of nearly 3 million baby boomer-owned businesses representing tens of trillions in assets. Together, these forces create a time-sensitive opening for private credit to facilitate employee ownership transitions, broadening workforce wealth while offering strong risk-adjusted returns.

Drawing on the EO Capital Roadmap, released in late 2025 and informed by more than 150 investors and field leaders, the session outlined a coordinated path toward $100 billion in employee ownership investment and a potential $1 trillion opportunity set.

About the EO Capital Roadmap & Roadshow

The EO Capital Roadmap is a bold national initiative to mobilize $1.5 billion into employee ownership in the next few years, $10 billion by 2040, and lay the groundwork for 10x growth beyond. Developed with input from 150+ funders, investors, advisors and field leaders, it charts the path to making employee ownership a cornerstone of the American economy.
